I flew into Porto Seguro Airport and drove 1.5 hours and stayed for 5 days I explored the colourful historic middle with its charming colonial buildings, visited the enduring Quadrado (the primary sq.), relaxed on the unspoilt sands of Praia do Espelho and Praia dos Nativos, dined within the laid-back beachfront eating places, and browsed all of the city’s artwork galleries and native craft retailers.

My highlights… 

• Individuals-watching in Quadrado Sq. – I liked the colourful colonial homes and the historic white church that missed the Atlantic Ocean and seeing each locals and visiting hanging out and mingling underneath the shade of the big bushes – it was the social coronary heart of the village!
